Image stabilizer is great. Fast shot to shot. Easy GUI and menu to navigate.

Personal opinion: Well, another great powershot camera from Canon. This one had fewer complaints than some other models, mostly relating to superficial things like the flimsy cover mentioned above. On the fundamental basis, people were extremely pleased with this particular powershot camera. Price was quite decent and very affordable.

Many tourists to New York ring the SD870IS because of it's versatile features and ability to take sharp, crisp image pictures in any environmental condition, indoor and outdoor. So, if you're from say, Brazil, you won't have to worry about haze or smog affecting picture clarity and creating blurs.
